Dudek to make emotional return to Turkey

Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek returns to the scene of his Champions League final heroics today to make a rare start for Rafael Benitez's side.

The Poland international, who has started just one League Cup tie this season and is second choice behind Pepe Reina, takes over in goal for Liverpool's Group C finale against Galatasaray at Istanbul's Ataturk Stadium.

Dudek's penalty saves at the same venue helped Liverpool overcome Milan to become European champions in 2005.

Liverpool are already through to the last 16 this season and Benitez will rest some key players against the Turks, including captain Steven Gerrard.

Gerrard, Sami Hyypia, Steve Finnan and Reina have been left behind in Liverpool with Benitez taking unknown reserve players Miki Roque, Stephen Darby and Paul Anderson in their place.
