Peugeot One 'Ho Ho Ho' Seven
A gift from Santa: the pedal-powered Peugeot 107
One of the most compact, economical and fun to drive four-seater cars on the market has been miniaturised and given pedal power in time to fit on Santa's sleigh this Christmas.
This single seater replica of the Peugeot 107, powered by pedals, is set to be the ultimate playground accessory in 2007. To reserve a car, all youngsters have to do is text, write or e-mail Santa, then get Mum or Dad to take them down to 'tal-Peugeot' for a test drive to ensure delivery before Christmas.
Following the philosophy of the grown-up 107, the Peugeot 107 pedal car represents excellent value for money, retailing at just Lm51. It is available in one simple trim level and comes in the funky citrus yellow also available on the full sized model.
The real Peugeot 107 has now sold almost 17,000 models since launch in the UK alone. With a 1.0-litre engine producing 68 bhp, this 'nippy' city car is both practical and economical.
Comfort is enhanced with the inclusion of air-conditioning, electric front windows, remote central locking, and an MP3-compatible factory cd tuner. It is not pedal powered, yet petrol versions (from Lm5,280) offer a maximum of 68 mpg, and the Peugeot Turbo Diesel ones up to 85 mpg!
Then again, the pedal powered one has a plastic body, while the real one is made of treated steel that is covered with a 12-year Peugeot anti-perforation warranty too.
And when at the Peugeot dealership, perhaps those difficult or forgotten presents for friends and family can also be found in the extensive range of Peugeot accessories, from a car care kit to a radio controlled car.
