Two Romanian men were yesterday given a suspended jail term for making use of forged passports.
In one case, presided over by Magistrate Giovanni Grixti, Udila Aurel, 23, was given a one-year jail term suspended for two years for forgery and making use of a forged passport on entering Malta on Monday.
The magistrate ordered that the first 15 days of the one-year jail term would be an effective jail term.
In another case before Magistrate Antonio Mizzi, 28-year-old Donatu Marius Laurentiu was given a two-year jail term suspended for four years for using a forged passport on Sunday.
Police Inspector Mario Haber prosecuted.
