A 37-year-old man was yesterday charged with raping his 17-year-old daughter and defiling another 12-year-old girl over the past months.

The man pleaded not guilty to raping his daughter and holding her against her will and defiling the 12-year-old girl.

He was remanded in custody.

The man's name is not being published, by court order, to protect the identity of his daughter.

Police Inspector Paul Vassallo prosecuted.
