Two Enemalta employees are helping the police in investigations into tampering with electricity meters over a five-month period, sources said yesterday.

The sources said the employees were arrested early yesterday afternoon. They are being questioned about suspected tampering with a number of electricity meters some of which were reportedly found with the official seal broken.

It is believed the meters in questions are spread over a number of localities, including Msida and Tarxien. The two employees have been suspended, the sources said.
