Vandals disrupt match transmission

Melita Cable and Where's Everybody have condemned what they said was vandalism carried out against Melita's cables and wires during the BOV Premier League football match between Valletta and Birkirkara which was being broadcast live on Melita Sports on Saturday. Towards the end of the game, Birkirkara supporters who were leaving the enclosure cut some cables and wires, according to Melita Cable.

As a result the direct transmission was interrupted. Damage to the system amounted to about Lm1,000.

Melita Cable and Where's Everybody said they hoped the culprits will be brought to book.
