A Kids Club promoting literacy for all children aged between three and 12 has been launched by Agenda to educate children about the importance of reading as well as increasing awareness about the environment and health issues.

The Agenda Kids Club will for this purpose introduce Mikiel, a fun-loving character who will be present at all the Agenda Kids Club events and will meet and befriend all the members.

Children who become members of the Agenda Kids Club are entitled to special offers and discounts on children's books, free entrance to and participation in events and storytelling sessions, free newsletters, free goodies upon registration and an insight into the world of books. In order to enrol, children need to fill in the Agenda Kids Club application form available at all Agenda outlets and return it to any of the Agenda outlets.

Members will normally be asked to pay Lm1.50 to contribute towards sponsoring a tree in the name of the Kids Club member, however Agenda Bookshop has decided to pay the full contribution on behalf of its members up until January 31, 2007.

Once the application process is completed, the child will receive an Agenda Kids Club goodie bag together with his/her membership card. For more information send an e-mail to kidsclub@agendabookshop.com
