It is a shame to see people walking in the middle of the road instead of on the pavement. Last week I was driving in Zebbug and saw a row of mothers and their children walking in the middle of the road.

I attracted their attention by beeping the horn but it did not work. I spoke to them through my car window but it was all in vain as they told me that they were happy to be in the middle of the road.

Pavements which cost the local councils money are a waste!
