I would like to share two examples of excellent customer service which I have experienced this week.

In December 2005, I bought a steam iron from N. Caruana & Sons of Merchants Street, Valletta. As it has a two-year guarantee, I took it back to them and they kept it for repair.

Within 48 hours, I received a telephone call to say the iron was ready. When I went to collect it, I was presented with a brand new iron.

I would like to compliment N. Caruana & Sons and the agent V&F Portelli & Sons for the efficient and professional manner in which they resolved the problem.

I would also like to thank Mrs Tita Bonnici at Malta University Publishers. Some time ago I was given a Beginning Maltese textbook and accompanying compact discs as a gift. This week I discovered that one of the CDs as faulty.

I did not have a receipt and did not know where it was purchased from, so I e-mailed the publisher to see if it was possible to obtain a replacement disc. I received a very prompt reply from Mrs Bonnici advising me that a replacement disc was being sent by post with their compliments. (Mrs D. Psaila)
