Obituary
CARBONARO. On November 24, at Casa Arkati, Mosta, LUCY, née Portanier, widow of Hugo, aged 89, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons William and his wife Gabrielle, Pawl and his fiancée Stephanie, her beloved grandchildren Carla and her husband Rupert and Francis and his wife Sarah, her nieces, and her dear friends.
The funeral leaves Casa Arkati today at 2 p.m. for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.

CUTAJAR. On November 23, at St Luke's Hospital, JOHN, aged 79, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmelin, his children Carmen, Andrew and his wife Carmelin, Vivianne and her husband Martin Debono, Alice widow of Joe Cardona, Nadia and her husband Ron Corderey, grandchildren Silvana and her fiancé Andrea, Mark, Clifford, Diane and her huisband Patrick, Christine and her fiancé Kenneth, Silvianne and her fiancé Matthew, Edward and Jonathan, his great-granddaughter Mariah, his sisters, Sr Agostina of the Sisters of Charity, Nelly widow of John Borg, Carmen widow of his brother Joseph, his friends of the Society of Don Bosco, other nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for St Francis church, Birkirkara where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.15 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord grant him eternal life.
SCERRI. On November 23, at home, JOHN, of Marsascala, formerly of Hamrun, aged 70, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Martha née Gauci, his daughter Sandra and her husband Stephen Gravino, his grandsons Simon and Keith, his brother Edward and his wife Marlene, his sisters Mary Scerri and Yvonne Simiana, his in-laws Doris and Victor Caruana, Josette and John Finn, both of Canada, Tanya and Stanley Borg Cardona, David and Claire Gauci, Michael and Annelise, Anna and Christopher, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends in Malta and Canada.

Dog show
An International Dog Show will be held by the Malta Kennel Club at the Cottonera Sports Complex today from 4 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. onwards.
This year's show will feature 270 dogs consisting of 54 different breeds hailing from Austria, Hungary, Italy, England and Wales.
Dogs competing in the show will also have the chance to qualify to be eligible to participate in the Crufts dog show that will be held in Birmingham, England in March next year.
Tomorrow evening, the highlight of the show will entail the judging of Best Puppy In Show followed by the top 10 dogs for the places of Best In Show and Reserve Best In Show.
St Andrew's Band concert
St Andrew's Band of Luqa will present a musical programme at the Metanoia Theatre, in Luqa, tomorrow at 7 p.m.
The band, directed by Paul Schembri will play works by Tchaikovsky, Hartman, Carmelo Caruana, Ray Sciberras, Palmino Pia, Miruzzi and from Mro Schembri's own repertoire.
The concert will also be marking the 120th anniversary of the Inno Al Martire San Andrea composed in 1886 by the band's first musical director Tommaso Galea.
Entrance is free. Patrons are requested to be seated by 6.45 p.m.

Ravioli night
A ravioli night will be held at the Mount Carmel Band Club of Gzira today at 7.30 p.m. offering a menu consisting of bruschetta, soup, ravioli or chicken nuggets, desert, wine and minerals. Emmanuel Cassar will be entertaining those present with live music. Bingo will also be played during this activity.
The price for adults is Lm3 while children pay Lm1.75.
