The first olive oil feast by the Rural Affairs Ministry is being held on Sunday from 10 a.m. at Burmarrad parish square.

The aim is to promote a typical Maltese product while pushing other produce such as honey.

Local olive oil producers have been invited to take part.

Entertainment will be provided by Nafra, a traditional brass band and a group of folk singers - ghannejja.

There will be an olive oil tasting demonstration by an Italian expert and a discussion on the production and promotion of olive oil.
