Olive oil feast in Burmarrad

The first olive oil feast by the Rural Affairs Ministry is being held on Sunday from 10 a.m. at Burmarrad parish square.

The aim is to promote a typical Maltese product while pushing other produce such as honey.

Local olive oil producers have been invited to take part.

Entertainment will be provided by Nafra, a traditional brass band and a group of folk singers - ghannejja.

There will be an olive oil tasting demonstration by an Italian expert and a discussion on the production and promotion of olive oil.
