The National Orchestra will present a Christmas concert at the Manoel Theatre, Valletta on December 7.

The concert will be financed through the National Lotteries Good Causes Fund, which is sustained by a percentage of the tax on gaming and lotteries, assists individuals, organisations and agencies to put up educational, social, philanthropic, sport and cultural events.

Launching the concert yesterday, the Parliamentary Secretary at the Finance Ministry, Tonio Fenech, said the money collected from admission will be passed on to the Malta Community Chest Fund. Tickets cost Lm5.

Brian Schembri will conduct the orchestra. Also taking part will be soprano Gillian Zammit ad mezzo soprano Sophia Grech.
