The Union Haddiema Maghqudin has accused the government of withdrawing its own proposals in negotiations for an agreement with paramedical employees and inspectors with the Health Department.

The union has therefore registered an industrial dispute and is considering what steps to take next.

The UHM said that following a brief meeting with the government, it was presented with new proposals that were a long way off from proposals that were being discussed in recent meetings.

In fact, the union added, discussions in those meetings revolved around government proposals which the latter has now backed away from.
