7,000 piggy banks placed in schools

A total of 7,000 piggy banks have been distributed throughout schools over the past week to complete the first phase of the BOV L-Istrina Campaign raising money for charity.

Over 65,000 students are taking part in this national effort of solidarity by putting their donations in the piggy banks.

On December 4, three big piggy banks will be taken around the schools to collect the small piggy banks.

The total amount collected from schools will be announced during the live broadcast of L-Istrina 2006 on the three major television stations on December 30.
