Anton Tabone, Speaker of the House of Representatives, will today travel to Rabat, Morocco, to take part in the Third Meeting of Presidents of Parliament of the Western Mediterranean Dialogue, also known as the Five Plus Five Dialogue, due to be held between today and Friday.
The Western Mediterranean Dialogue brings together the national parliaments of France, Italy, Malta, Portugal and Spain from the northern shore of the Mediterranean and Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia from the southern shore of the Mediterranean.
Apart from participating in the Five Plus Five meeting, Mr Tabone will also take the opportunity to engage in bilateral discussions with other presidents of Parliaments including Abdelwahad Radi, President of the House of Representatives of Morocco and President of the Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean.
They will discuss preparations for the opening of the Executive Secretariat of the Assembly in Malta and also the Parliamentary Assembly's next meeting in Malta next year.
