A man was yesterday conditionally discharged for two years after pleading guilty to stealing a Cashlink debit card and a Bank of Valletta Visa card, which he used to steal Lm224 to the detriment of Leslie Plumpton.

Robert Seguna, 27, from Zebbug, admitted he stole the cards from the Playmobil factory in Hal Far on July 1.

He also pleaded guilty to defrauding Mr Plumpton.

In handing down judgment, Magistrate Giovanni Grixti noted that the accused had returned all the money and that Mr Plumpton has forgiven him.

Police Inspector Alexander Grech prosecuted.
