West Ham United manager Alan Pardew says a potential takeover of the Premier League club can only be of benefit to the London side.
Pardew has held talks with bidder Eggert Magnusson and said the Icelandic businessman could take the club to another level.
West Ham chairman Terence Brown reportedly wants £75 million for the club and Magnusson is believed to have the necessary funds to complete the deal, backed as he is by two wealthy businessmen.
Pardew is confident he will remain as West Ham manager if Magnusson or rival bidder Kia Joorabchian attain ownership of the club.
"Like anything, the meeting was shrouded in mystery and the press knew about it before I did. But it went very well and West Ham fans would like to have heard the things Magnusson said to me," Pardew told reporters.
"The two potential owners of the club both have sound views on what they want to do and I am all ears to that because I want to take this club forward and want to try and compete in the Champions League."
