Outbound tourists up by 10 per cent
Outbound tourists in September reached 29,738, bringing the total for the first nine months of the year to 197,589.
This represents a 10 per cent increase over the same period a year ago, the National Statistics Office said. In September, 25,430 travelled by air, and 4,308 travelled by sea.
Over 24,500 outbound tourists left for EU destinations, predominantly Italy and the UK.
