Gozo bashing

One is constantly reading letters in this and other publications about how the Maltese are being ripped off by certain Gozitan outlets. Overcharged for this or that. Bad service in restaurants etc. Funny how one very rarely reads letters submitted by Gozitans complaining about Maltese outlets.

And why oh why does this publication continue to go to press and print letters of complaint against this or that restaurant in Marsalforn, Xlendi or wherever, without actually naming the outlet in question? Surely this is totally unfair to all the other commercial outlets in that particular area? Better to name and shame.

It is to be remembered also that a high percentage of commercial outlets in Gozo, restaurants in particular, close down for the winter months. This isn't to allow the owners to go on a three-month world cruise but, rather, because of the harsh fact that there is little or no business demand.
