Leydon Grech, 20, of Vittoriosa, was yesterday conditionally discharged for three years and fined Lm75 after pleading guilty to attempting to seriously injure policeman Warren Magri at St Luke's Hospital on March 26.

Inspector Marion Bonello prosecuted.

Lawyer Noel Camilleri appeared for the accused.
