Belletti: Barcelona's Brazilian full back Juliano Belletti will miss his side's Champions League match at Levski Sofia on Nov. 22 after injuring his right calf in training on Friday. The European champions said that the 30-year-old, who also missed his side's last group match against Chelsea, will be out of action for around two weeks. Barcelona are in third place in Group A, five points behind leaders Chelsea and two behind Werder Bremen.
Benzema: Olympique Lyon striker Karim Benzema's hopes of making his France debut next week were shattered when he sustained a thigh injury in a 2-1 Ligue 1 win over Valenciennes on Friday. The 18-year-old Benzema, who was included by France coach Raymond Domenech in his squad for a friendly international against Greece on Wednesday at the Stade de France, was substituted in the first half because of a torn left thigh muscle.
Valencia: Valencia have unveiled plans to construct a 75,000-capacity stadium that they hope will be used as a venue for a Champions League final. The new stadium, which bears some resemblance to Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena and will be located in the congress area in the north of the city, is expected to be ready for the 2009-2010 season.
Neville: Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson said he expects England defender Gary Neville to miss this week's international friendly against the Netherlands after suffering a calf injury yesterday. "He's been having bother with his calf for quite a few weeks now," Ferguson said. "We've been trying to get him into training sessions for complete weeks to try and eliminate a recurrence of it. But it's happened again today, unfortunately, so I don't think he will be playing for England on Wednesday."
