A programme the Richmond Foundation is planning to launch to better help children with challenging behaviour was discussed at a business breakfast at the Victoria Hotel, in Sliema.
Attending the event were representatives from the mental health sector, education, Appogg, children's homes and the board that monitors children placed under care orders. They discussed the proposed programme with stakeholders and others with experience of working among children with challenging behaviour in a bid to obtain their feedback.
Brian Magro, consultant within the Ministry of the Family and Social Solidarity, spoke about the programme being one of a number of initiatives that will ensure continuity of care for children.
Doris Gauci, the Richmond Foundation's chief executive officer, gave an overview of the new programme.
A discussion on how the programme can meet the ends of the children under care orders followed.
Richmond Foundation is a non-governmental non-profit making organisation working in the sphere of community mental health. It offers different services to adults experiencing mental health problems.
