New kitchenettes at home for abused women

The Vodafone Malta Foundation is donating funds for the installation of seven new kitchenettes to Dar Merhba Bik, a home that offers shelter to victims of domestic violence and their children.

Before this project started, each room was shared by two women and their children, as were the bathrooms. The kitchen and TV rooms are communal. The new rooms complete with bathroom and kitchenette will offer the women and their children much needed privacy.

Dar Merhba Bik offers safety, support and shelter to women who have had to leave home because they can no longer tolerate the abusive situation.
