Mepa determined 1,286 applications during September and October.

It received 518 new applications in September and 760 in October, bringing the net pending caseload by the end of October to 4,569. Sixty-nine notifications of development were processed during September and 76 in October.

Seventy-eight stop and enforcement notices were issued in September. During the same month, 35 enforcement cases were closed, 23 cases were sanctioned by the issue of a permit and another 10 cases were resolved as owners decided to remove illegal development and comply with the enforcement notice. Two other enforcement cases were withdrawn by Mepa.

Nine cases were received during September but were resolved without the need of enforcement action.

A total of 101 stop and enforcement notices were issued in October. In the same month, 39 enforcement cases were closed, of which 22 enforcement cases were sanctioned. Another 12 cases were resolved because owners decided to remove illegal development and comply while five cases were withdrawn by Mepa.

Nineteen cases were resolved without the need of enforcement action, since owners complied.
