An exhibition of paintings by George Large opens at the Hilton Portomaso on Friday.
George Large is one of the most highly regarded painters of the Maltese scene and has been exhibiting in Malta for the last 25 years or so.
His watercolours depict Maltese scenes usually with men and women at work, from stone cutters to fisherfolk preparing to fish or selling their catch, as well as architectural features portrayed in the artist's inimitable style.
The exhibition is being organised by the Salesians of Don Bosco in aid of St Patrick's Salesian School.
Molly Bordonaro, Ambassador of the US, will open the exhibition at 7 p.m. and Marquis Nicholas de Piro will introduce the artist.
The opening will be followed by a dinner in the Portomaso Suite.
Tickets at Lm15 per person can be obtained from Peter and Alaine Apap Bologna on 2132 2576/9925 5223 or via bologna@onvol.net
The exhibition will run until November 17.
