Obituary
SPITERI. On November 5, FRANK aged 81, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his beloved wife Yvonne, his children Ramon, Anita and her husband Karl Gollcher, his precious grandchildren Annika and Pieter, his brother Charles and sisters Phyllis, Clotilde and Helen, his sisters-in-law Lydia and Sarah and brother-in-law Maurice, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Balzan parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord grant him eternal rest.

Prayer For Peace
An evening of prayer for peace and the new evangelisation of the world will be held by the International Movement of Prayer Blessed Pope John XXIII at St Francis church, Republic Street, Valletta on November 15 at 5.30 p.m.
Holy Mass will be said followed by 20 minutes of adoration.
Speaking Of Greek Icons
An exhibition of Greek icons by Centru Animazzjoni u Kommunikazzjoni (CAK) and animated by the Conventual Franciscan Friars will take place at CAK, Sommier Street, Birkirkara between November 17-19.
The icons are hand painted on wood and were brought from Greece for the exhibition.
During the exhibition, which opens on November 17 at 6.30 p.m. and will remain open on November 18 from 9.30 a.m. to noon and from 4 to 8 p.m. and from 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m on November 19, will include four talks by CAK.
A talk entitled The Icon Speaks will be delivered by Padre Walter Lobina on the opening day at 6.30 p.m. and a lecture on the Icons Of Damassena will be given by the Archimandrite George Mifsud at 7 p.m.
Talks on the Spirituality Of Icons by Padre Gerardo Curto and The Theology Of Beauty And Icons by Prof. Fr Peter Serracino Inglott will be given on November 18 at 6.30 p.m.
Meeting For Bar And Restaurant Owners
The St Paul's Bay Bars and Restaurants Association will be holding a general meeting on Thursday at 12.30 p.m. at the locality's band club.
The committee has invited Tourism Minister Francis Zammit Dimech, Labour MP Evarist Bartolo and mayor Paul Bugeja for the meeting.
Owners of licensed bars and restaurants who are not members of the association and who want to attend can join.

Solidarity Treasure Hunt
Rotaract Malta La Valette held a treasure hunt in Mdina in aid of Amy Zahra and Sven Mifsud.
The event, which saw the participation of 83 persons, was a walking only treasure hunt which ended at Stazzjon Restaurant.
Sven is a two-year old boy suffering from a serious illness in his leg. Both the boy and his mother attended the event.
Club president Ian-Edward Stafrace thanked the team for participating in the treasure hunt.
All About Pastels
The first activity of the newly set up Pastel Society will take place at the Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce at Palazzo De La Salle, Republic Street, Valletta on November 16. The activity will be divided into two parts with the first consisting of a talk by Carmel Micallef, on the use of pastels, the types, paper and techniques while the second will entail artists working individually and who are to bring their own pastels and paper.
Those wishing to join the society are welcome to attend. There will be a small payment to cover the costs incurred by the Society of Arts for use of the premises.

Good homes are needed for a number of gorgeous kittens. A ginger kitten was abandoned by his mother in Kalkara and was nursed by the mother of the other kittens in Mellieha.
