A series of Family Writing workshops are being held in conjunction with the GenevaWorld exhibition of drawings called 191 Children's View Of The World at Carafa Stores, Cottonera Waterfront.
The workshops offer parents and children aged eight to 11 an opportunity to write together as a family. Children and parents work creatively on the same topic, reading and sharing their work while helping each other edit their writing.
The workshops draw on elements from drama, music, arts and crafts. The next workshops will be held on November 11, 18 and 25 and on December 2 and 9 between 9 and 10.30 a.m.
Story telling and craft sessions will be held alternately when story bags, big books and puppets will be used to create a fun reading activity.
The sessions are suitable for children aged between five and 11 and will be on November 11, 18 and 25 and December 2 and 9 between 1 and 2 p.m.
Bookings can be made with Muriel Grech, secretary of the Malta Writing Programme, by sending an e-mail to mwp.fes@gov.mt or by calling 21 455 600 extension 115.
The exhibition 191 Children's Views Of The World includes a drawing by a Maltese student. The exhibition is open daily until December 17. Entrance is free.
