The new Opel Corsa was launched in Malta during Opel's open week at its showroom in Ta' Xbiex.

A compact car, the Corsa comes in a sporty three-door version and in a five-door version. It is available in 1.0ltr, 1.2ltr, 1.4ltr, petrol engines and the 1.3 diesel engine.

Opel's open week also featured vintage Opel cars including the classic Kadett, Rekord and Kapitan and the classic white, green and blues, which were popular in the 1950s.

Visitors were able to view the leather interiors of these cars, the steering wheels, chrome finishing and the wooden dashboards. The cars all have three gears - first, second and top - and have an approximate horse-power of 25, with 6 volts. The cars can still be driven, having fully functional original engines.

Persons wishing to test drive the new Corsa may do so by calling United Automobile Ltd on 2132 0560, or by visiting the showroom in Abatè Rigord Street, Ta' Xbiex.
