A public talk on "Science, Faith and Culture" will be given tomorrow at 6 p.m. by Dr Louis Caruana from the Department of Philosophy of Heythrop College, London University, at the Junior College Main Lecture Hall.

The main topic being discussed is: "Does the scientific mentality oppose the Christian culture? Scientism is the term used to describe an exaggerated confidence in the power of scientific methods and explanation. It constitutes a major feature of today's mentality all over the world. What are the features of such mentality? How can the distributing tension that often arises between scientific and religious attitudes be explored?"
