SsangYong's sports utility coupé - the Actyon

A new SsangYong breed - the Actyon sports utility coupé (SUC), with a distinctive SUV design inspired by the exterior lines a coupé, was launched last Friday week at the Michael Attard showroom in Blata l-Bajda. The Actyon is in a class of its own in the sports utility market, as it is specially designed and priced to appeal to young buyers.

Actyon, a combination of the words "Action" and "Young", features the striking looks and high performance of an SUV and a sports coupé's dynamic lines.

At the heart of the Actyon lies the XDi200 XVT Diesel engine having a maximum output of 141 ps at 4,000 rpm and maximum torque of 310 Nm at between 1,700 and 2,700 rpm from a 1,998 cc engine.

This SUC crossover is exiting to see and fun to drive. It is available in three different levels - Classic, Grande Luxe and the Executive.

Classic entry level spec includes two-wheel drive (4WD optional) whilst the other two have 4WD as standard with additional equipment according to their respective tier. The interior design features a stylish black tone, infused with bright chrome lines, creating a sporty coupé-like look.

Standard features for the Actyon Classic include front driver and passenger airbags, 16" alloy wheels, air-conditioning, ABS brakes, electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), rear booth luggage cover complete with a hold-all net, central locking, electric windows, electric heated side mirrors, tinted glass, front fog lamps and a factory fitted CD tuner complete with remote steering wheels controls and sound equaliser.
