• The Annual Philatelic Exhibition will be open at the Exhibition Hall of the Gozo Ministry in Victoria from today till Sunday from Monday to Friday (9 a.m. to noon, 1.30 to 4.30 p.m.) and Saturday and Sunday (9 a.m. to noon). The themes of this year's exhibition are postal history, social philately and sports.

• A book and religious items fair organised by Preca Library at the Sacred Heart Seminary, Victoria, will be open from today till Sunday from Monday to Saturday (9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., 4 to 8 p.m.) and on Sunday (2 to 8 p.m.)

• To celebrate the feast of St Fortunatus, Xaghra basilica will hold sung vespers today at 4.30 p.m. At 5, Mgr Carmelo Refalo leads a concelebrated Mass, with the participation of the Voci Angeliche choir. A short procession with the statue of the saint will follow.

• Ice Age 2 - The Meltdown is showing at the Don Bosco Oratory today at 5.30 p.m.

• A family week the theme "The Family - The Church's Treasure" will be held at Jesus of Nazareth church in Xaghra between tomorrow and ending on Saturday. Dr Anton Grech, Dr Ruth Farrugia, Gozo and Malta Seminary rectors Fr Anton Theuma and Fr Anton Gouder, and family therapist Clarissa Teuma Scerri are among the speakers. Bishop Mario Grech will lead a concelebrated Mass to end the week on Saturday at 6.30 p.m.

• The first lectures of the course in theology for the laity held at the Sacred Heart Seminary, Victoria, on Wednesday at 5 p.m. will be led by Kercem parish priest Fr Ignatius Borg and Mgr Salv Grima.

• Nicoline Sagona, curator of Heritage Malta, is giving a public lecture on "The Works of Joseph Briffa" at the Gozo Ministry's conference hall on Friday at 6.30 p.m.

• The Good Friday Committee of St George's Basilica is organising a pasta buffet and tombola at the parish centre on Friday at 7.30 p.m. Tickets at Lm3 (children Lm1.50) are available from Colina Attard, the parish centre, or Vajringa Supermarket.

• There will be high tea at the St Augustine Convent, Victoria, on Saturday at 6.30 p.m. Tickets at Lm1.25 are obtainable from the convent.

• The Social Action Movement (MAS) is holding a series of meetings on "Christian values today". The first lecture will be held on November 13.
