Go Mobile's Ready To Go Text tariff plan offers "the real" 1c per text message rate, Peter Gauci, director for Go Mobile operations, said last week. Go Mobile has been offering the lowest SMS rates since December 2004.

All Go Mobile subscribers can register for the Ready To Go Text tariff plan by sending an SMS containing T to 4400. This is not a temporary offer but an ongoing tariff that provides unlimited local text messages at 1c to everyone.

"This 1c per SMS tariff has always been available to all our pre-paid customers," Mr Gauci said. "It is the perfect choice for those subscribers who send a lot of text messages and customers are not charged extra for taking advantage of this package."

Customers can buy unlimited bundles of 300 texts for Lm3 and 500 texts for Lm5.

To buy a 300 SMS bundle at Lm3 customers need only send an SMS containing 300 to 4433. Those who prefer the 500 SMS bundle at Lm5 can send an SMS containing 500 on the same number. Both bundles have a 30-day time window.

"Clearly, no other mobile service provider in Malta offers such low SMS rates," Mr Gauci added.

Both with the Lm3 and the Lm5 bundle the end cost is the same: 1c per each SMS sent. Only the cost of the bundle itself is deducted from the subscribers' credit. All local calls on this tariff cost 7c for every 30 seconds.
