EU maritime policy seminar

A day seminar with the theme Pondering On The EU Green Paper On Maritime Policy will be held at the Aula Magna, Old University Building, Foundation for International Studies, St Paul Street, Valletta on November 17.

The seminar will be addressed by Joe Borg, European Commissioner for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, and opened by Awni Behnam, president of the International Ocean Institute (IOI) and Juanito Camilleri, rector of the University of Malta. Foreign Affairs Minister Michael Frendo will close the seminar.

The speakers will include Tiago Cunha from the Office of the EU Commissioner for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs; Ranier Fsadni, lead author of Malta's Position Paper on the EU Green Paper; and Rev. Prof. Peter Serracino Inglott, chairman of the Board of IOI-Malta.
