Barcelona midfielder Xavi will be laid low for around 10 days with an injury collected during the 2-2 draw against Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The Spain international has a hairline fracture of the tibia in his left leg, the club's medical services said after a scan yesterday.
Xavi will miss tomorrow's Primera Liga match away to Deportivo La Coruna, as will Barca's Icelandic striker Eidur Gudjohnsen. The former Chelsea player has bruising to his left ankle and will be rested as a precautionary measure.
With Gudjohnsen and Samuel Eto'o out injured coach Frank Rijkaard could give Javier Saviola a rare start up front.
