International Award Association forum in Edinburgh

The chairman of the President's Award Scheme in Malta, Charles Cilia, together with Marion Cilia and Kenneth De Martino, will be attending the International Award Association's ninth International Forum in Edinburgh, Scotland, between tomorrow and Wednesday.

Over 1,000 delegates, including the Duke of Edinburgh and the Earl of Wessex, will be in Edinburgh for the culmination of the charity's 50th anniversary celebrations. The forum is an opportunity to discuss how to open up opportunities to all 14 to 25-year-olds across the globe. The Duke of Edinburgh, who is patron of the award, and the Earl of Wessex, a trustee, will be speaking at the plenary session on Monday. The Earl will also be present for a young people's concert on Monday evening which will showcase the talents of award participants from across Scotland.

The climax of the international forum is a gala dinner at the Royal Museum, which will be attended by the Deputy First Minister of Scotland, Nicol Stephen.
