Industrial tribunal rules in favour of Enemalta

An industrial tribunal has ruled in favour of Enemalta in a dispute with Enemalta's Professional Officers' Union over the revision of a collective agreement.

Chaired by Joseph P. Bonnici, the tribunal ruled that the proposals by Enemalta should be accepted.

The tribunal's decision recognised the role of the Collective Bargaining Unit set up by the government to negotiate the collective agreement of public entities, the Ministry for Investment and Information Technology said.

The tribunal had decided that claims by the union did not make sense in the circumstances, the ministry added.
