Caritas Malta has received a donation of thousands of liri as a result of the Bank of Valletta Help Caritas campaign that ran between July 24 and the end of August.

BOV had donated 3c for every purchase payment made by customers using Cashlink cards.

The donation was presented by Igino Xuereb, chief officer operations of Bank of Valletta, to Mgr Victor Grech, director of Caritas Malta, during a meeting held at BOV Centre.

Mr Xuereb said that during the BOV Help Caritas campaign, the volume of card transactions increased by 31 per cent over the same period the year before.

Caritas Malta is today active not only in the area of drug rehabilitation since its work touches some of the most delicate social problems.
