Obituary
AGIUS. On October 29 at St Luke's Hospital, CARMELO, of Zabbar, aged 84. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Marija, his children Benny and his wife Marianne, David and his wife Rita, Alfred and his wife Monica and Grace and her husband Twanny Bongailas, his brother France, his grandchildren David, Aaron, Duncan, Maria, David, Alison, Adrian, Andrew, Anthony, Annmarie and Mark, his great-grandchildren Martina, Silenia and Jamie, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Our Lady of Graces Sanctuary, Zabbar, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 p.m. followed by interment at Zabbar parish cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
BUTTIGIEG. On October 29, at St Luke's Hospital, LUCY, née Pace, of Victoria, Gozo, aged 79, beloved wife of Joseph, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters Marita, Rosabelle and her husband George Pavia, her son Alan George and his wife Maria; her grandchildren Jean Pierre and Ylenia; Benjamin, Lauren Lee and Katrin Mari; Christiana, Jean Paul and Stephanie; her brothers Bert and his wife Tessie, Anton of New York and his wife Marianne, her sisters Mary widow of Teddy, and Carmelina; Marianne widow of her brother Francis; nephews and nieces, relatives and numerous friends.
The funeral leaves St. Francis Square, Victoria, Gozo tomorrow at 3.30 p.m. for the Basilica of St George where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4 p.m. followed by interment at Sannat Cemetery. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord grant her eternal rest.
FORMOSA. On October 29, at St Luke's Hospital, JOHN BAPTIST, of Floriana, aged 78. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary, his children Ray and his wife Rita, Myriam and her husband Lawrence, Brigitte, Patrick and his wife Caroline, his grandchildren Alessia, Luke, Rebecca, twins Andrew and Julian and Nicole, his siblings Tony, Anna and her husband John, Charlie and his wife Connie, Lina, Guzi and his wife Jessie and Lolly and his wife Esther, his mother in-law Felicia, his in-laws Karmenu, Guza, Leli and his wife Gemma, and Doris, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

He leaves to mourn his loss his daughters May wife of Peter Cassar, Ann wife of Andrew Clarke, his son Martin husband of Joanne, his grandchildren Patricia and fiancé John Paul, Brendon and his wife Chantelle, Michelle, Stephanie and fiancé Aidan, Amanda, Patrick, and Rebecca, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Cajetan parish church, Hamrun where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetry. SULTANA. On October 29, at the Gozo General Hospital, GUZEPPI, ex-PS 1000, aged 68, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary, his sisters Natalina and Maria, his mother-in-law Maria, sisters and brothers-in-law, their families, relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital tomorrow at 3.30 p.m. for Maria Bambina Basilica in Xaghra where concelebrated Mass praesente cadavere will be said, followed by interment at Xaghra Cemetery.

London College Of Music Exams
The Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce has announced the dates for the 2007 London College of Music and Media practical and theory local examinations.
Two practical examinations will be held at Palazzo De La Salle, in Valletta in May 2007 and October 2007. Closing dates for applications are to be submitted by February 16 for the May session and July 27 for the October session.
Three theory examinations will take place on March 28 at 2 p.m. (closing date is January 24), June 16 at 10 a.m. (closing date is April 13) and November 24, 2007 at 10 a.m. (closing date is September 14, 2007). Venue will be announced later.
Grade candidates are to be entered in one form by their teachers except in the case of self-representation. Diploma candidates should be entered in individual forms. A photocopy of the application is to be attached with the original entry form. Entry forms may be obtained from Patrick Xuereb, Music Shop, 5, Old Church Street, Birkirkara or from the society.

Cooney Comedy
Cash On Delivery is the name of a comedy Maleth will produce at the Manoel Theatre on November 3,4 and 5 at 7.30 p.m.
The play by Michael Cooney will feature Joe Pace, Malcolm Galea, Colin Willis, Renato Dimech, Marvic Cordina, Sharon Bezzina, Silvio Catania and Bianca Sansone.
The play revolves around Eric Swan, an unemployed landlord who has been defrauding the Department of Social Security for the past two years by claiming benefits from the made-up ailments of his equally made-up lodgers. One day, a DSS inspector comes over for a routine signature from one of his lodgers. Eric commences a web of lie and counter lies as he tries to explain what's going on to all people that seem to be dropping in that morning while also keeping the affair a secret from his wife Linda.
Lost Pointer
The Society for the Protection and Care of Animals has in its care a Pointer that seems to have been abandoned, or lost. The dog has been described as "very friendly, but cannot be mixed with others".
If the Pointer has owners, they can call the SPCA on 2123 4431 and collect the dog.
Singers In Concert
Students of vocal coach Arleen Barlow will perform in a concert at the Park of Friendship, Marsascala on Friday at 7.30 p.m.
The concert will cover music ranging from opera to pop with the first half dedicated to classics and standards and the second half consisting of show music, modern classics, blues, Italian and pop.
Singers performing at the concert are Ms Barlow, Katherine Brown, Sandra Farrugia, Kimberley Grech, George Saliba, Jessica Zammit, Claire Aquilina, George Saliba, Jessica Zammit, Damian Buhagiar, Danika Sammut, Francesca Zarb, Mandy Zammit and Katherine Brown.

Choir, Talk In Sliema
The Sliema Philharmonic Society will hold three additional activities at the Palazzo Sliema in St Trophimus Street, Sliema on November 3 as part of the Sliema International Arts Festival.
Our Lady of Lourdes choir of San Gwann will perform a concert of popular music at 7.30 p.m.
After the concert, researcher Tony Terribile will deliver a talk on Maltese artists of the 20th Century'.
This will then be followed by the opening of an exhibition of Maltese chapels made of matchsticks by Silvio Carabott.
The exhibition will also be open in the evening on November 4 and throughout the day on November 5.
US Visa Applications
Persons applying for a visa to the United States must use an electronic visa application form as from Wednesday. Paper applications will not be accepted.
Applicants must fill the form electronically on the website, print it and once completely filled out, pay the visa application fee at any Bank of Valletta branch and take the printed electronic form, required photo and receipt of payment to the US Embassy during visa application hours. The photo must measure 5 cm by 5 cm.

Tea Tombola
A tea tombola in aid of Maltese missionaries working in Third World countries will be held at Maria Ewkaristika Hall, Kosbor Street, Zebbug on November 12 at 3.30 p.m.
Tickets can be obtained from the Mission Fund at 72, Flat 2, St Joseph Flat, Il-Farinal Street, Mosta, by dialling 2141 3664 or by contacting Connie Azzopardi on 2133 1151.
If available, tickets will be sold at the door.
Architecture Nights
The director of award-winning Bennetts Associates, Simon Erridge will bring the Architecture Nights series being held at Vault 17, the Valletta Waterfront, to an end on November 4 at 7.30 p.m.
Bennetts Associates have offices in London and Edinburgh and presently hold both major UK awards for Architect of the Year and Architectural Practice of the Year.
Notable projects include the new Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, the Hampstead Theatre in London and the Jubilee Library in Brighton, short-listed for the 2005 Stirling Prize.
St Philip Band Concert
St Philip Band of Zebbug will present a musical programme in Antonio Sciortino Street, opposite St Philip Band Club, on November 19 at 7 p.m. to mark its 155th anniversary.
The concert will also mark the 20th anniversary since the setting up of the band club's youth section and the inauguration of artistic decorations in the club's entrance hall.
The band, directed by Richard Bugeja, will play works by Mozart, Rossini, Bocelli, Charles Chaplin, Adeodato Gatt and by Mro Bugeja, who will launch his original composition Civitas Rohan.
Philatelic Exhibition
The Gozo Philatelic Society will hold its seventh annual exhibition at the Exhibition Hall, St Francis Square, Victoria, between November 3 and 12.
Entrance is free.
