The Fgura Scout Group participated in an international scouting event during which scouts from all over the world made contact using internet chat and amateur radio.
The Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) and Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI), held in Malta at the south district scouts centre at Rinella, allowed the scouts to exchange their scouting experiences and ideas.
The headquarters were converted into a communications centre where nine computers were set up and linked to the internet via both wired and wireless networks.
More than 4,000 scouts went online during the event.
The Fgura group has been participating in the JOTI for the past four years and in the JOTA for the last three.
