Madonna Tal-Mensija Primary School A, San Gwann, is for the first time taking part in a Comenius project entitled "Open windows", dealing with the use of ICT in schools.

The aim of this project is to analyse, share and develop good practice in participating primary schools. Besides San Gwann Primary A, there are St Aloysius Primary School of Lisburn in Northern Ireland, Circolo San Bonifacio of Italy and Schule Fahrenkron of Germany.

The first meeting, held in Hamburg, Germany, was attended by head of school Joseph Mallia. During this meeting all participants presented Power Point presentations about the history of ICT in their countries, IT resources in their schools, teacher training and ways forward.

ICT lessons were held at Schule Fahrenkron and various classes were also studied. In their free time, participants were also shown round Hamburg by the German teachers. The programme for the next meeting scheduled for San Bonifacio in January was also prepared.
