Two men were yesterday each jailed for two-and-a-half years after admitting to stealing antiques and computer equipment from a Birkirkara house.

Anthony Abela and Joseph Attard, both 48, pleaded guilty to stealing the items and relapsing on Monday evening.

After hearing their guilty plea and taking note of their criminal record, Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera jailed them.

Police Inspector Joseph Mercieca and Ramon Mercieca prosecuted.

Lawyers Renzo Porsella Flores and Chris Cardona appeared for the men.
