Raggae fans are in for a treat next month when Bob Marley's former band The Wailers makes it to Malta for a live concert in aid of YMCA Homeless.
Together with Bob Marley, The Wailers sold more than 25 million albums worldwide.
As the greatest living exponents of Jamaica's reggae tradition, the Wailers have completed innumerable tours, playing to an estimated 24 million people across the globe. They have also been the first reggae band to tour new territories on many occasions, including Africa and the Far East.
Apart from playing with Bob Marley, The Wailers have also played with a number of international acts, including Stevie Wonder, Joe Cocker, Taj Mahal, Alpha Blondy and the Fugees. They also played with raggae legends like Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer and Burning Spear.
The concert will be held at the Eden Arena on November 11. Tickets at Lm12 are on sale from NNG Promotions, at www.nngpromotions.com, from the YMCA Valletta office on 2124 0680 or the Eden Arena.
