I refer to the letter "Power cuts a way of life" (The Sunday Times, October 15).

Contrary to the impression given by your correspondent, power outages experienced in Sannat were not caused by bad weather. This year the only outages recorded were either due to planned maintenance or due to cable faults in Malta.

Enemalta wishes to assure your correspondent that whenever a fault is identified action is immediately taken to repair and reinforce the system to prevent the occurrence of repetitive faults.
