The letter by Ms Mary V. Galea about Portomaso car park (The Sunday Times, October 15) is misleading.
That night Ms Galea, accompanied by two other women, approached the car park exit and asked the security guards there to help her find her car which she had parked on Level -3. She was worried that her car had been stolen.
A member of my staff and I accompanied Ms Galea to Level -3 and the car was found in an area where Ms Galea had not looked. I point out that each level of the car park, including the newly opened Phase 2, is marked in different colours to help patrons find their cars. At the time, Ms Galea and her two companions blamed themselves for not noticing the colour code.
There were not six attendants chatting near the car park exit. Four members of my staff were posted there to enable traffic to exit the car park in an orderly manner and to avoid queues.
Ms Galea and her companions at the time were very grateful for the action taken. They also thanked us for explaining how to find their car should they visit us again, as I hope they will in the near future.
