Union Haddiema Maghqudin has stopped industrial action at Maltapost following a reconciliation meeting at the office of the Director of Industrial and Employment Relations.

The union and Maltapost said "they agreed to a way forward".

The UHM had accused Maltapost management of not giving workers the opportunity to defend themselves "in the best and most just way possible in cases of discipline".

Workers at the company's hubs were ordered not to process and distribute letter packets and other packets as from yesterday.

All Maltapost services are now back to normal with immediate effect.
