Alfred Conti Borda, an aviation enthusiast since 1946, recently presented to Ray Polidano, director of the Malta Aviation Museum at Ta' Qali, a collection of various calibre cannon shells to be exhibited together with other old aircraft memorabilia.
The Malta Aviation Museum, which came into being in 1996, thanks to the efforts of a team of hard working aircraft restorers, boasts of 15 different types of aeroplanes. Mr Conti Borda joined as a volunteer guide in September 2004 after retiring as head of school.
The Malta Aviation Museum invites anyone who may have objects relating to aircraft or to flying to donate them as permanent exhibits so as to enhance and promote Malta's aviation heritage.
