Attard Scout Group recently held its annual summer camp at the Rinella South District camping site. Under the guidance of Camp Chief Skipper Vincent Farrugia and GSL Joseph Filletti, assisted by Scout leaders and members of the committee, the group spent 10 days full of activities.

These included badge work, swimming, rafting and canoeing, night hikes, barbecues and various fun games. A football tournament between the four patrols was organised throughout the camp.

Bombardier Adrian Cipriot, of L-Ispjun fame, took the group through several disciplines and Sergeant Tony Grech organised an assault-type competition between the patrols.

On a less physical note, the patrols competed in a general knowledge quiz. The camp was also enjoyed by the group's cubs pack, who indulged in badge work, swimming lessons, open fire cooking and badge work.

The group's Beavers unit enjoyed a one-day activity. Mass was organised and celebrated twice during the camp by the group's spiritual director. The annual fund-raising barbecue was organised and attended by over 170 people, including parents and friends. There was a huge camp fire, providing a fitting end to a successful camp.
