Disma Degabriele, an employee of the Malta International Airport and who is disabled, yesterday filed a judicial protest in the First Hall of the Civil Court against his employer claiming he is being discriminated against.

Mr Degabriele said he is employed as a full-time airport attendant and that he is being discriminated against in the airport's shift scheme because he is not being paid overtime and because the company is failing to make available an interpreter as is the practice when dealing with people with hearing difficulties.

He warned the company he will be initiating legal proceedings should the situation not be rectified immediately.

Lawyer Anglu Farrugia presented the protest on behalf of Mr Degabriele.
