"Converging to Euro: Understanding the Practical & Technical Aspects" is the chosen theme for a programme of seminars being organised by the Institute of Financial Services (IFS-Malta), in collaboration with the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA).

The seminars are being held every Thursday on three consecutive weeks, starting this week, at the MFSA in Mriehel. The main focus of the seminars is to give an overview of Economic & Monetary Union (EMU) and details linked to the adoption of the European single currency that is the euro in Malta.

Various important hands-on issues, such as fair pricing, dual display, conversion of share capital, IT aspects and consumer protection will be addressed.

The seminars will feature a blend of experts hailing from academia, the regulatory side and practitioners who shall be sharing their experience.

IFS-Malta and the MFSA are organising these seminars to encourage continuous professional development among practitioners and promote a wider learning of financial services. Certificates of attendance will be presented to those attending two sessions.
