Glorious Mdina

How gratifying and stupendous to see Mdina rehabilitated to its former glory. Congratulations to the Mdina local vouncil and whoever was involved with the project. Mdina, Mdina, what wonderful and unforgettable memories sprint through my mind.

I was born, bred and spent my childhood, youth and early adult years in Rabat, close to the main Mdina entrance, prior to seeking pastures new abroad, for many years.

Mdina walks were, and still are, part and parcel of the family routine, now that I have returned to my birthplace.

After having completed such a superb project in Mdina, could the government and the opposition, who could very well prove to be the government in-waiting, now put their heads together and sort out the site of the Royal Opera House in Valletta? That would give the present capital the glory it is due, and which is grossly lacking.
